From September 2023 two of the following subjects are selected as options at Key Stage 4.

  • Art – GCSE Option
  • Geography – G.C.S.E Option
  • Physical Education – V cert Level1/2 Option (GCSE Equivalent)

Pupils in Year 10 from September 2023 will have the opportunity to gain up to 7 GCSEs. Those in Year 9 from September 2023 will be able to achieve up to 8 GCSEs when they leave in Year 11.

 

Academic Support

Pupils also receive targeted interventions in numeracy, literacy and speech, language and communication where indicated on their EHCPs or through analysis of progress data.

Vocational Curriculum

Careers information advice and guidance is weaved through our PSHE curriculum from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.  From Age 13, Pupils can also access individual vocational pathways, such as Equestrian work placements, Go-Kart engineering courses, and work placements and in Year 11 we access taster Sessions at local Colleges.

Personal and Social Development Curriculum

Interventions for Personal Development and Social Skills are provided by our Learning Mentors on a referral basis.

Topics covered can include, Coping with Grief and Loss, Managing Anxiety, Anti-Bullying, Building  Self-Esteem, Body Image and Developing Empathy.

Interventions for Personal Development and Social Skills are provided by our Learning Mentors via group work and referral basis, and also by external provider, Active Hope.
