Exciting Times Ahead: The Countdown to the Holiday Season!
By Mark Cullen, updated 1/12/24
As we approach the end of another bustling term, excitement is in the air! Friday, 20 December at 1:15pm after lunch, marks the last day of the autumn half-term – a well-deserved breather for both students and staff alike. As the school countdown begins, classrooms will soon be adorned with festive decorations, and the air will be filled with whispers of Christmas cheer.
With the last lessons wrapped up, students will eagerly step out into the chilly December air, ready to kick off their Christmas break the very next day, Saturday, 21 December. Families across the region will gather to celebrate, exchange gifts, and indulge in delicious festive feasts. It’s a wonderful time for creating lasting memories and rekindling connections with loved ones.
But hold on! Before we know it, we’ll be back in the school routine. Monday, 6 January, is a staff inset day, giving teachers the chance to engage in professional development and prepare for the exciting challenges of the new term ahead.
Then, on Tuesday, 7 January, we dive straight into Spring Term 1/2. As the days get a bit longer and the festive spirit begins to fade, we’ll gear up for learning and growth in the new year. It promises to be an exciting term filled with fresh opportunities!
So, let’s enjoy the holiday spirit and come back refreshed, ready to tackle the adventures that await us in 2024!
