Ten enthusiastic students from Key Stages 3 and 4 at Woolston Brook School enjoyed an unforgettable residential trip to Winmarleigh Hall, near Preston, from Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July 2026.

The week was packed with team-building challenges, outdoor adventures and confidence-boosting activities that gave every student the chance to grow in independence and resilience. From archery and canoeing to high-ropes and the ever-popular giant zip-line, each activity was designed to encourage trust, determination and teamwork.

The students embraced every challenge with energy and enthusiasm, supporting one another throughout the week. Whether balancing on the ropes or working together in the boats, they showed a real willingness to step outside their comfort zones and try something new.

Evenings brought their own memorable moments, with laughter echoing around the campfires, alongside quizzes and group games that helped to strengthen friendships across year groups. These shared experiences created a warm, positive atmosphere and added to the sense of adventure.

Staff praised the group for their excellent behaviour, respectful attitude and eagerness to take part.

The residential reflected Woolston Brook School’s strong commitment to personal growth and wellbeing, offering students a chance to shine beyond the classroom. By the end of the week, every participant returned home tired but proud, carrying new skills, lasting memories and plenty of stories to share.
