On 5th December, pupils from Woolston Brook proudly represented their school in a 5-a-side football tournament held at the Jeffrey Humble Sports Arena on Long Lane in Liverpool. The team, comprising Year 6, 7, and 8 players, included Tyler L, Alex H, Alan, Teddy, Michael, and Alfie D.
The tournament featured three matches against local schools, and the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship. They started strong with a confident 2–1 win against Woolton. The second match against Crosby High ended in an exciting 3–3 draw, showcasing their determination. In their final game, they finished with an impressive 3–0 victory, highlighting their excellent defensive and attacking skills.
Notably, Alex H emerged as the top scorer with 4 goals, while Teddy contributed 2 goals. A special mention goes to Tyler L for scoring his first-ever goal and being awarded Player of the Tournament for his hard work and positive attitude.
