On Friday, 6th March 2026, the Woolston Brook School football team took to the pitch with excitement and determination. Managed by Calvin Pasquill, who wears many hats as the Pastoral Mentor, Behaviour Lead, Intervention Coordinator, and DDSL, the team was ready to showcase their skills. With support from staff members John McMullan, the head of Maths, and Ed Fowler, another Pastoral Mentor, the students felt well-prepared for the challenge ahead.

The squad, made up of talented players from years 7, 8, and 9, played with heart and enthusiasm throughout the tournament. Their hard work paid off as they clinched a fantastic victory in one of their matches, winning 2-0! This win was a testament to the teamwork and dedication displayed by all the players.

Among the standout performers was NT from Year 9, who scored an impressive two goals during the tournament. Not to be outdone, WB, also in Year 9, netted two goals, including a spectacular wonder goal from halfway! This moment had everyone on the edge of their seats and cheering with excitement.

The day was capped off with WB being awarded the Man of the Match title, a well-deserved recognition for his outstanding performance on the field. The atmosphere was electric, and the camaraderie among the players was evident as they celebrated their achievements together.
