Woolston Brook School is delighted to celebrate the first birthday of Evie, our full-time school therapy dog. Evie is a delightful black Labrador, born on 13th June 2025, who quickly became an important part of our school community after joining our school family in September 2025.
For many pupils and staff, Evie has brought a sense of comfort, calm and joy to the school day. We recognise that school life can sometimes feel busy or overwhelming, and having a friendly therapy dog on site can make a real difference. Evie’s gentle nature and reassuring presence have been warmly welcomed by children and adults alike, and her role continues to support a positive atmosphere across the school.
On Friday 12th June 2026, the whole school came together to celebrate Evie’s first birthday. The occasion was marked with great excitement and affection, as Evie enjoyed a large cake made especially for dogs, along with lots of treats kindly given by students and staff. It was a lovely opportunity for the school community to show appreciation for the happiness Evie brings each day.
Woolston Brook School is proud to have Evie as part of its family. Her presence has already created many meaningful moments, and the school looks forward to sharing many more with its special therapy dog.
